Watch: It’s Chicago vs. Dallas in exclusive scene from ‘Fire’

Looks like squad captain Dallas Patterson is busy burning more bridges on “Chicago Fire.”

This first-look video of a scene from Tuesday’s episode implies that power-hungry Patterson (guest star Brian White) smacks down at least three members of Firehouse 51: Mouch, Herrmann and Severide, who’s already lost his chair at the head of the squad table to the newbie.

Take a look:

Lt. Matt Casey, always the diplomat, does an admirable job trying to make nice with a guy who seems more interested in climbing the career ladder than the one used to fight fires.

Something big clearly has gone down between Patterson and Severide. Casey lets it be known he has Severide’s back. Sevasey fans are itching for more in this department, as evidenced by one of the tweets I got on the subject before Monday’s NBC press day in Chicago:

I asked Taylor Kinney (Severide) about this on the red carpet at Monday night’s party.

He didn’t point to any specific upcoming scenes (sorry, folks). Here’s what Kinney did say:

“They’re best friends but you don’t get to see a lot of that. I’ve been his roommate for a long time. We’re there for each other. But we’re both brooding men. It’s not like I ask him how he’s feeling. I’ll leave that up to Dawson.”

I just hope Patterson doesn’t get his mitts on those free Rush tickets.

“Chicago Fire” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. (Central) on NBC.

Patterson is driving me INSANE! I can’t get a read on the guy.. Is he the killer link to this house or the underdog that is misunderstood for his intentions? I feel like he’s the first. He’s so selfish.. Whereas Kelly Severride is selfless..
